The Wachtelhof, with its location in the heart of Lower Saxony, invites you to enjoy a few more days here and set off on interesting excursions.

If you are travelling with children, game parks offer everything from small to large, from local animals to exotic animals. Whether you stroll through the Landpark Lauenbrück riding a donkey and feed sheep, deer or wool pigs, explore the realm of countless bird species in the Vogelpark Walsrode or dive into the African animal world in the Serengeti Park, there is something for every age.

But you can also explore our surroundings, whether on horseback, in a balloon or in a canoe. Those who like to discover can visit the Rotenburger Schnapsfabrik, or even see through the camera at the NDR and we are happy to organize a guided tour of the Airbus factory in Finkenwerder. Around the Wachtelhof, seven nearby golf courses offer sporting challenges for every handicap. We are proud of “our” Golf Club Wümme, which on 100 ha around the romantic farmstead of the old Einhof Emmen is a course harmoniously integrated into the landscape and nature, offering new habitats for rare plants and animals.

For golfers interested in art, a visit to Worpswede with its golf course of the same name is an ideal option. The Golf Club Verden can be easily combined with a flying visit to the old cathedral. In our list we have listed all nearby and recommendable golf courses.
