A bird’s eye view of the world
A hot-air balloon ride over treetops and house roofs is an unforgettable experience for young and old adventurers (minimum size 1.30 m) aged 12 and over! If the used world and the everyday life remain further and further at the ground, one floats gently into the air and the country spreads out like a wonderful carpet to our feet.
The wind determines the start time and partly the finish. Therefore the start is early in the morning and in the evening, two to three hours before sunset. A tip: Take a warm sweater or jacket with you (it can be quite fresh high up in summer) and choose sturdy shoes, because sometimes you end up in adventurously rough terrain.

Water fun between adventure and romance
Whether you prefer a relaxed canoe trip along enchanted and beautiful riverside meadows or a challenging canoe trip over strong currents and small whirlpools: the river landscape at the door of the Wachtelhof invites you to explore nature and sports activities!
If you book in time, we will gladly provide you with a local guide, boats and accessories, as well as transfer you to and from the boat launching points. Passing flowering meadows and native animals the canoe glides silently with you towards your destination. On request, we will be happy to put together a delicious picnic for you to rest in an idyllic place!

Time travel to a decelerated world
The small, black peatboats with their brown sails belonged to the landscape of the Devil’s Moor until the middle of the last century. In the meantime many romantics have discovered the trip on the peat barge as an unforgettable holiday experience for themselves.
The nostalgic vehicles glide along the old waterways through the picturesque landscape. On request, we will be happy to take care of booking for you: for example, for a trip on the Hamme on board one of the ½-Hunt peat barges, which are ready for you in Worpswede from May to September.

For Horse Enthusiasts and Sports Active
The scenic beauty around the Wachtelhof can be explored on horseback. Trot over soft moss in the shady forest, roam through picturesque river meadows or fly over the heathland in a canter: The luck of the earth lies on the back of horses.
Even beginners or riders who have not sat in the saddle for a long time are welcome at the nearby riding club. In addition to guided rides and vaulting courses, riding lessons are also offered under expert guidance.
By the way: We will gladly inform you in time by e-mail about the interesting dates in “Pferdeland Niedersachsen” such as the world famous elite auctions in Verden.
