Bullensee & Walk “D’ört Moor”
The Great and White Moor, a 654ha nature reserve, is one of the best preserved raised bogs in Lower Saxony. Many hiking trails lead nature lovers through the untouched and protected nature of the district, among others the path “D’ört Moor”. Stroll through a varied landscape, past small forests, wide fields, small streams and enchanted moors.
Observe animal and plant species worthy of protection and learn valuable information about your surroundings at information boards. With interactive games you can experience the habitat “Moor” with all your senses. The starting and finishing point of the hiking trail is the “Große Bullensee”, a moor lake under nature conservation, which impresses with its naturalness. On hot days, a bathing spot promises a welcome cooling off and for the youngest hikers there is a large playground to let off steam.
