The Lion King

A true rush of colourful costumes, breathtaking masks and rousing music enchants the visitors of the musical “The Lion King”, which has been successful for years. Western pop sound by Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice merge with authentic African rhythms in the stage version of the world-famous Disney animated film and carry the audience away into the world of the lion king Simba.

In search of his place in life, Simba accompanies his amused friends, the meerkat Timon and the warthog Pumbaa. With the song “Hakuna Matata” they recommend their life motto “Don’t worry” to him – and the visitors of the musical. The starting point of the musical evening is the Landungsbrücken. The free shuttle service takes you by ship across the Elbe to the theatre.
